Whether you are just starting your practice or are looking for new avenues of income, teaching opens doors. It is an easy way to become known in your community and increase your private clientele.

I offer instructor's manuals covering a variety of topics. If you are new to hypnotherapy or to teaching I recommend starting with the Self Hypnosis Instructor's Manual. You will attract many people who are curious about hypnosis but who will not start with private sessions. Once you have removed the mystique many will continue as private clients.

From a purely practical standpoint, teaching provides a good income. For example, I charge $125 for a 5 hour class. The five hour self hypnosis workshop is designed to be taught in two 2-1/2 hours sessions. At $125/student x 10 students your income for that five hours is $1,250. I recommend that you limit the size of your class to 10-12 in order to ensure a quality experience for each student. You will make a good income from the class, receive referrals to other classes and attract new clients. I have taught the self hypnosis class 5-6 times a year since 1989.

These workshops are designed to be taught as a follow-up to the self hypnosis workshop or they can stand alone. They cover some basic information about hypnosis for students with no experience.

Each manual contains carefully researched lecture material, exercises, acupressure techniques (for the stress reduction class), scripts (for use in class or to record tapes for your students), handouts ready to copy, information about advertising, where to teach, tips for making tapes and a resource page. The stress reduction workshop is taught in 2 1/2 hours and the self-esteem workshop is taught in a 5 hour format, for a total of 7 1/2 hours.
