The Shovel

I've been reflecting lately on the quote above. I have faith that the changes we see in the world and in our personal lives will all be worth this stress. Of course, it's much easier to have faith when things are going along well-- when business, family, health and relationships are thriving. But how do we handle the times, like now, when we are surrounded by so much upheaval? I know that prayer works and sometimes God does hand us a shovel as part of the process.

There's a part of me that would simply prefer not to deal with these stressful times at all. Do you ever want to put your hands over your ears and chant, "la, la, la, la, la"? I do. Another part of me would like to sit quietly, hibernate, eat chocolate and simply wait for things to finish changing so that I can get on with my life. But I wonder if that's as effective as taking creative action. When I look at my calendar and I'm not booked out for weeks and weeks my first response is a bit of panic. Oh no! What about my office rent? Not to mention the expenses at home.

This is where the shovel comes in. I use it first to dig myself out of the pit of despair. Then I look again at my calendar and think about what sessions I've been wanting to video tape for continuing education. Which of my friends could use a free session? Which of my books need to be edited? Because the more I focus on what I don't have the more I'll create that.

And, if none of that really interests me and I can't seem to get going, I go to a movie. Yes, a movie. It's more fun than hibernating and I can still have chocolate while I'm there. This week I went to the latest Pixar movie,  "Up".  What a delight. I was the only adult there without children but, hidden inside, was my own inner child. We loved the movie! I left feeling much lighter and happier. It lifted my mood and helped me to get busy. I'm now working on some projects that I haven't had time for lately. It's clean up time and it feels great.

Past Life Regression Therapy

This course covers the philosophy of reincarnation and its application in hypnotherapy. Through this therapy we will explore the soul's current choices and relationships. Self Hypnosis for Teen & Adults

You will learn the basics of self hypnosis, how to take yourself into hypnosis, as well as the most effective way to word your desired results. When done correctly, the possibilities are endless.

In addition, you will experience a group hypnosis session in each class. Open to ages 15 and up.
