Passion for Life

I picked passion for life as my topic this month for several reasons. I have been a hypnotherapist for 19 years now and I am still passionate about using these tools to help people. I have never become bored by this work or wondered if there wasn't something else that I might enjoy doing more. Never. And, with a new Level 1 hypnotherapy class starting in a few days, I am already seeing that same passion in my students as they sign up. Classes haven't begun and yet they have "hypno fever." It's great.

I also want to share a success story about a client who's case history was in my newsletter last month. Remember "Audrey" who had a part named "Bad" who wanted her to be bad and was causing her to overeat? In the subsequent session I discovered that "Bad" no longer was causing a problem. This is why I have used parts therapy so consistently over the years. It has a profound effect on people's lives.

With another client this week I used EFT to eliminate the aspects of her claustrophobia following several sessions of not achieving the level of trance that I would have liked. Initially, "Sara" was having difficulty getting in touch with the intensity of the aspects but we kept tapping and she had a major insight: this way of being defines her and who would she be without it? She didn't wish to tap for herself on this issue between sessions so I suggested that she tap on her reluctance to have a deeper trance experience. She agreed. I'll follow up with her story next month.

Hypnotherapy Training & CEUs

The California Hypnotherapy Academy offers a 300 hour comprehensive clinical hypnotherapy training program. Our hands-on approach gives you real-world experience that truly prepares you to enter with confidence into this highly rewarding field.

The Sun enters the sign of Gemini on Tuesday May 20th at 9:01 am PDT to be exact. As the Sun moves out of Taurus, with its earthy grounded energy, and into Gemini life shifts a bit, into a busy time of  expanding and exploring choices.  The question is all about the answer, which is only a temporary solution, because Gemini is all about seeking knowledge, about some of  the changes or what options are open to us in the very near future.

Mercury, the ruling planet of The sign of the twins (Gemini), is once again slowing its rotation to a stop, retrograding  May 26th. This is a time of communication, travel, meetings, data and technological mishaps. Slow down, double check information received and do not assume that things will be status quo.  Use this time to look into options or look for options, until it goes direct on June 19th. This can be a time of a lot of coming and going, missing appointments and dates or not getting the right day and time of meet ups.  Double check, double check.......The Astrological Gurus also warn to maybe not sign contracts or binding agreements.

Now if the above mentioned event isn't enough for you, take to task the business of discovering your passion. With Mars in Leo (fun) and the Sun in Gemini (the child) this is a good time to ask yourself, what keeps you going? What gets you up in the morning and moving? Start checking into the last time you played with a child, in a garden or a game. Think about things that you love to do, passionately love to do. Take this time to reassess what things make you  passionate. Your job? Creations of art? Whatever keeps you going............check it out!!!  Change conquers constancy (boring matters).
