The California Hypnotherapy Academy offers a 300 hour comprehensive clinical hypnotherapy training program. Our hands-on approach gives you real-world experience that truly prepares you to enter with confidence into this highly rewarding field.

We offer classes for personal growth (self hypnosis training and EFT, past life regression) as well as continuing education for hypnotherapists.

Course meets qualifications for 16 hours per weekend of continuing education credit for MFCCs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. PCCE #4228. (additional charge for CEU certificate)

Medical Hypnotherapy Training: Adv. Pain Techniques

Pain has a significant impact upon American society and our health care system. Pain is the most common reason Americans seek medical care.  It is estimated that 90% of Americans regularly experience pain and 70-100 million or more Americans have persistent (chronic) pain. Yet, half of all patients given conventional therapy for their pain do not get adequate relief. These patients continue to feel moderate to severe pain. 

However, it is estimated that only about 30-35% of people can develop glove anesthesia. And, in conditions such as fibromyalgia where the patient has wide spread pain, glove anesthesia is ineffective. This class teaches numerous advanced pain control techniques to relieve moderate to severe pain, to quickly and covertly release secondary gain and to prevent pain from returning. Many of these techniques, such as the Migraine Manager, can be done in 5 minutes or less. This makes them ideal for use in hospitals or emergency situations. These are unique techniques that you will not see anywhere else. This is pain control on steroids!

Happy birthday to all of the Leos reading this Astro News. Have you ever wondered what is going on in your life and why is "this or that" happening, or what "is" it all about Alfee? Any Leos wandering around this month wondering "what the heck? "

Well, Leo children, "what the heck" is all about the Universe and all the craziness it is dishing out..The full Moon August 16th (also all about Aquarius) is in the sign of Aquarius, which is you polar opposite. What is this all about? Well, this particular event happens to be a Lunar eclipse as well, which in the Astro world is a big event. During a Lunar Eclipse, the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon, which from the naked eye casts a shadow on the moon, as though it is being temporarily blocked out of the sky.

In Astrology the moon represents our emotions, so it depends on where your moon is in your natal chart as to how this translates to each and every individual. Since we are in the time of Leo, and Aquarius is Leo's opposite sign (wherever it is in your chart), it will be triggering something in your life. For example, this eclipse in Aquarius conjuncts Neptune creating a fog bank in that area of your life. In my chart, it’s affecting my ability to write this column!

First the shadow and then the event. In Astrology it is all about timing of events. In this particular event Leo is about self expression, and creativity, and children. Aquarius is the sign of the rebel "I will do it my way." The individual may be seeing this and its energy as Frank Sinatra sang it so well.

You can look in your own chart to see where Leo and Aquarius fall and it will bring some clarity to your current experiences. Or maybe not, at least not until the fog bank lifts.

Fortunately the sun enters Virgo August 22nd which will slow things a little. The focus of energy will be steering us to organizing some of this craziness into categories, (thank you, Virgo) so that we can realize that it is all about order and routine, and responding to the situations in our life.

So it all boils down to the rebel in each of us can come out show itself for a short period of time, then be put back into its place for whatever the next rebellious event is still to come.
